Chairman Tim Balls commented on the success of the 2024-25 programme and was thanked for his hard work throughout the year.
It has been a good year for members gaining photographic accolades: congratulations to Jane Horton who gained DPAGB accreditation and Dave Tunstall who was awarded CPAGB.
A Pot Luck Supper rounded off the evening very nicely.

Success at Yorkshire Show Photographic Competition

26/10/2022

Several Camera Club members submitted images into the Yorkshire Show Photographic Competition as usual, and this year the subject was again simply ‘Woodland’.
Two photographs gained acceptances (pictured), one by Colin Williams entitled: Arched Tree in Middleton Woods and one by Jay Pegg called simply: Bark.
It is a great accolade to gain acceptance amongst the many that were submitted.

Both images were beautifully enlarged and displayed on large canvas mounts, hung along with the other thirteen which were selected.

Annual Awards Ceremony 2022

25/8/2022

The annual Awards Ceremony was amongst the few meetings at the Club in which members felt able to meet face-to-face this season at the Village Hall. The Club President, Richard Dewhurst (pictured) presented the awards, and gained some awards himself which were presented to him by the Chairman, Tim Balls, who was Master of Ceremonies.

Owing to the considerable variety of competitions and events during the season, almost all members were able to demonstrate some particular aspect of photographic excellence, and therefore become the proud recipients of an award or trophy.
The Ceremony was followed by a simple, but most enjoyable, Social Event.
